Craig Foster

Craig made his debut with Sydney United in 1989 from Victorian club Sunshine George.

In 1992 he travelled overseas to Earnest Boral in Hong Kong. He has also played for Adelaide City and the Marconi Stallions in the NSL before he moved overseas again, this time to England. Craig played three seasons in England playing for both Portsmouth FC and Crystal Palace FC which he received a free transfer to where he stayed until the end of the 99/00 season. He also played for Northern Spirit FC until his retirement in 2003.

Craig represented Australia from 1996-2000. He earned 29 caps and scored 9 goals and represented Australia in the under 20’s at the 1985 World Youth Championships Finals in Samoa.

In 2006, he took on a more challenging coaching role when he was appointed the coach of the Nerds FC Team in the 2006-2007 season.

He is still active in Football and plays in the Sydney League for the Waverley Old Boys FC.

Craig is most commonly known as a commentator for SBS television.
