Danielle Wood

Danielle Wood's first novel, The Alphabet of Light and Dark, won a number of prizes, including the prestigious Vogel Literary Prize. Her second book, Rosie Little's Cautionary Tales for Girls, is shortly to be published in the United States and translated into Italian.

In 2004, Danielle was named one of Australia's best young novelists.

Danielle lectures in creative writing at the University of Tasmania and lives with her husband John, her daughter Xanthe, her greeting-card-model dog Axel and a motley collection of chooks and sheep. Her next goal in life is to become an ace pool player. On a good day, she believes six impossible things before breakfast.
