Danny Frawley
Frawley was originally a potato farmer in Ballarat. Initailly he played as a forward but was better known as a full-back.
He played for St Kilda 1984-1995, as captain for nine years, then took up coaching for Richmond in 2000. Success was mixed and after taking the team to the wooden spoon in 2004 he stepped down as coach.
Since leaving active playing and coaching football, he has worked as a sports commentator on radio where he is referred to as ‘Spud Regal.’
Frawley resumed coaching, taking the Victorian State of Origin side to victory in the AFL Legends Match in 2006.
